Frozen Pipe Damage in Chicago, IL

Anyone who lives in Chicago, IL knows that our winters can be brutal! This can mean consecutive below zero temperatures for days and sometimes even an entire week at a time. Pipes within your home or business can only withstand these temperatures for so long before they crack and cause leaking which leads to sometimes severe damage. In these before and after pictures, this ice was the result of a pipe that froze in an apartment building in Chicago. If you look closely, you will notice that since the temperatures were so cold that the water actually froze in the stairway! Burr!!
